The wort sanitary plate heat exchanger (chiller) is assembled from European-made plates. The body of a chiller is made of stainless steel. Chiller is equipped with a mechanical wort thermometer at the outlet. Cooling takes place through heat exchange between the cold water and hot wort ducts to meet each other through parallel channels of heat exchange plates.
In order to save time and energy for the next brewing, hot water at the outlet of the chiller can be collected in a special insulated container - a hot water tank.
The conditionality of the heat exchanger performance is due to the cold water supply not exceeding + 5 ° C
We propose a scheme based on a single-circuit heat exchanger.
In this case, the water prepared for brewing beer is cooled in advance to a temperature of 5 degrees in the tank with cold water, and the wort is cooled with this water through a single-circuit heat exchanger. And the hot water obtained at the outlet of the heat exchanger is poured into a heat-insulated hot water tank and stored there until the next brewing.
This approach allows us to significantly reduce the power of the chiller and generally exclude the ice water tank, and the cooling process is as simple and convenient as possible - at the beginning of cooling, select the position of the wort and cold water supply taps so that the outlet has the wort of the desired temperature and until the end of cooling wort, nothing else needs to be done.
Such a system is as simple, reliable, convenient and economical as possible.
